Amigos de Jesús held its 2019 Golf Outing at Fieldstone Golf Club in Delaware on May 20.
Over 80 golfers attended the event which raised over $75K to help fund our school and bilingual education programs in Honduras.
Father O’Donnell began the day with a prayer and blessing for the children, staff and volunteers of Amigos de Jesús in Honduras.
Several members of Amigos de Jesús’ Board of Directors played in the outing including Anthony Granese, Chris Rosati and Ryan Newman. (Anthony is in the yellow shirt below)
The format of the golf play was a “scramble” — where players in each group play from the spot of the best shot.
Fieldstone is one of Delaware’s finest and most challenging courses, featuring rolling hills and several historic building ruins incorporated into the design plan.
Father O’Donnell posed for a photo with the golf outing’s winning group of Scott Burke, Brian Burke, and Tom Burke who had a score of ten under par (−10).
After all the golfers finished their play on the course, they enjoyed dinner followed by a presentation of golf prizes, a video on our bilingual school, and a reflection by Father O’Donnell.
The main prizes for the golfers included original art work done by the children of Amigos de Jesús.

We also thank our other generous sponsors including:

Thank you to Michael Odorisio who donated a sleeve of golf balls for everyone and for serving on the golf outing committee.
Anita Robbins stepped up once again — as both a sponsor and a volunteer who helped us organize every facet of the day.
