Congratulations to Patricio "Pato" Lynch upon his ordination to the priesthood!
Pato was born in Argentina and first felt the call to the priesthood when he was 18 years old. In 2009, he heard about Amigos de Jesús from a long-term volunteer at that time. In 2010, he traveled to the U.S., where he had the chance to visit our U.S. office and meet Fr. Den. He and Fr. Den became good friends and in 2012, Fr. Den invited Pato to visit Amigos de Jesús in Honduras. Pato worked in the U.S. office for awhile, where he wrote the "pastoral" (religious education) curriculum for our kids. In 2016, Pato finished seminary in Argentina and began working for Amigos de Jesús in the role of pastoral presence. In this position, he will now divide his time between Honduras, the U.S., and Argentina. In December 2016, Pato was ordained a deacon in Honduras by Bishop Darwin Andino (the bishop of our diocese) and on June 18th, he was ordained to the priesthood specially for Amigos de Jesús in his home country of Argentina.
The video below shows a little of his journey.
